Christian Wood suffered an unfortunate thumb injury on January 18th, 2023 against Atalanta which sidelined him for 3 weeks. He fractured his left thumb during the second quarter of the team’s 130-122 loss against the Hawks.

Christian Marquise Wood was born on September 27, 1995, in Long Beach, California, United States. Christian Wood started his schooling at Los Alamitos High School in his freshman year of high school.

Christian Wood attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where he played college basketball for the UNLV Runnin’ Rebels. Christian Wood went undrafted in the 2015 NBA draft.

On March 21, 2022, Christian Wood recorded a career-high 39 points on a career-high eight three-pointers made in a 115–97 win over the Washington Wizards.

On December 25, 2022, in his first Christmas Day game, Christian Wood recorded 30 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks in a 124–115 victory over the Los Angeles Lakers.
