Christian Thielemann Children: Does Christian Thielemann Have Kids?

Christian Thielemann  is a German conductor.  At the time of this writing, it is unclear if Christian Thielemann has any kids or not.

Details of his personal life are not public knowledge. Christian Thielemann studied viola and piano as well as private composition and conducting courses in West Berlin.

Christian Thielemann made his American debut in a new staging of Strauss’ Elektra in San Francisco during the 1991-1992 season. Subsequent dates at New York’s Metropolitan Opera followed.

He was appointed Generalmusikdirektor of the Deutsche Oper Berlin in 1997. He is the chief conductor of Staatskapelle Dresden’s.

Christian Thielemann received the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz) in 2003.

He was made an honorary member of the Royal Academy of Music in London in October 2011. In 2019, he made his conducting debut with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra in the New Year’s Concert and is set to return to direct the Vienna New Year’s Concert in 2024.

From 2013 to 2022, he was the creative director of the Salzburg Easter Festival. He will be Generalmusikdirektor of Berlin’s Staatsoper beginning in 2024.
