Although, born on June 21, 1998, in Vancouver, Canada, Lee has Chinese-Singaporean and Korean ancestry.
He made his amateur debut in 2015 at Star Elite Cage Fighting.
Lee fights in Featherweight, Lightweight, and Welterweight divisions in ONE Championship and won the ONE Lightweight World Grand Prix Championship in 2019.

Lee trains out of the Evolve MMA and the United MMA teams and has earned a Black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
