Chris Taylor’s journey in the world of sports began early, and it showcased his dedication to excellence. During his formative years, he attended Great Neck Middle School in Virginia Beach, Virginia, where his passion for wrestling shone.
He even achieved the remarkable feat of winning a city wrestling championship. However, his focus later shifted to baseball when he enrolled at Frank W. Cox High School, also in Virginia Beach.
His talent on the baseball diamond did not go unnoticed, and he was deservedly recognized as the All-Tidewater region player of the year in 2009.

Following high school, Chris Taylor took his love for baseball to the next level when he played college baseball for the Virginia Cavaliers. His performance on the field caught the attention of the Major League Baseball draft, and he was selected in the fifth round in 2012. This marked the beginning of his journey in the big leagues.
