Chris Stratton is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Texas Rangers of Major League Baseball (MLB). He is the son of Lee Stratton and Janet Stratton.

His parents are very supportive of his baseball career. He was selected by the San Francisco Giants in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft. He made his MLB debut with the Giants on April 28, 2016.
His parents came to St. Louis for two games to see their son play in the MLB after he was signed by the San Francisco Giants. Aside than that, no information on Janet and Lee Stratton is available.

In addition to playing for the Giants, Stratton also had stints with other MLB teams. He was traded to the Los Angeles Angels in 2019 and later to the Pittsburgh Pirates in the same season.
However, the Pirates traded Stratton and José Quintana to the St. Louis Cardinals on August 1, 2022, in exchange for Malcom Nez and Johan Oviedo.
His time with The Cardinals was again cut shot as he was traded to the Texas Rangers on July 30, 2023, in exchange for John King, Tekoah Roby, and Thomas Saggese.
