English journalist, TV personality, and presenter Christopher Jonathan Hollins was born on March 20, 1971. Formerly a first-class cricket player, he is most known for having won Strictly Come Dancing in 2009 and serving as the sports correspondent for BBC Breakfast from 2009 to 2012.

From 2010 until 2015, Hollins served as the host of the BBC consumer rights program Watchdog. He played football for Charlton, Queens Park Rangers, and Aldershot Town after graduating from Tonbridge School in 1989. After graduating from Durham University, he went on to play first-class cricket for Oxford University, where he earned a blue.

At Channel One TV in London, which was then a part of Associated Newspapers, Hollins launched his media career. After that, he spent time at GMTV, Meridian, and Five TV before moving on to Sky Sports in 1994.
