Chris Elliott was born to his parents Bob Elliott and Lee Elliott.

His father, Bob, died from throat cancer on February 2, 2016, at age 92.
Bob was a comedian and actor, notable for the character of radio reporter Wally Ballou, and for appearing on an SNL Christmas episode in 1978.
About Chris Elliott
Chris Elliott is an award-winning actor who starred in the sitcom pilot of Maggie in 2021, and has appeared in many other sitcoms including How I Met Your Mother” from 2009 to 2014.
His comedic sketches on the late night talk show “Late Night With David Letterman” during the 80s had shot him to fame.
Aside from acting, Elliot explores other areas of arts and entertainment such as comedy, directing, and writing.

In the early 90s, Elliot starred in the Fox comedy series Get a Life and in the film Cabin Boy.
Since then, the Emmy Award winner has made notable appearances in many TV series including Everybody Loves Raymond, How I Met Your Mother, Adult Swim’s Eagleheart, and Schitt’s Creek.
In terms of feature films, Elliot starred in Groundhog Day, There’s Something About Mary, Snow Day, and Scary Movie 2.
In 2015, Elliot played a guest role in the crime series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. The following year, he was cast in the Sony Crackle series Thanksgiving.
