Chris Ayres was an American actor, director and scriptwriter who worked massively on voice acting on Janapnese anime shows. Chris Ayres began his career at the age of seven during which he performed on a number of regional productions.

When Chris Ayres turned eight years, he worked as a voice actor on the TV series “Gatchaman.” In 1983, Chris Ayres joined Super Dimension Fortress Macross as the voice of Lynn Kalfun.
Chris Ayres revealed in 2017 that he has been diagnosed with end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and thus required a double lung transplant to survive. Unfortunately, Chris Ayres passed away on October 18, 2021, at age 56 in the presence of his girlfriend, mother and brother.
