This decision comes after IMANI Ghana, a policy think tank, submitted a petition following public outcry over the EC’s management of the country’s resources in its operations.

IMANI Ghana’s petition reflects citizens’ serious concerns about how the EC has been handling equipment and resources, which are critical for the nation’s electoral processes

The allegations suggest possible mismanagement and improper disposal of assets, prompting calls for a thorough investigation.

In response to the petition, CHRAJ has formally requested IMANI Ghana to provide detailed information related to the allegations. This request aims to gather all necessary data to facilitate a comprehensive and swift investigation.

“Kindly make the said information available to the Commission within ten days upon receipt of this letter to allow for expeditious investigations,” a portion of the statement from CHRAJ read.
