Rafael Benitez, the former manager for Liverpool and Real Madrid has sent a stern warning to Frank Lampard to deliver this season after he received £200 million from Chelsea owner, Roman Abramovich to buy new players.
Benitez who has also managed Chelsea for a period of six months before is aware of the tension that mounts up in Chelsea. He started managing Chelsea in November 2012, won the Europa League with Chelsea and finished in the third position in the English Premier League.
After the ban of transfer on Chelsea, Frank Lampard has spent over £200 million on players with the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Ben Chilwell, Thiago Silva and Malang Sarr. There are more players to come.
Raphael sent a clear message to Lampard saying that Abrahamovic wants Instant success for the money he has spent on players.
He also said that Chelsea and Manchester United must deliver because both teams have spent so much on buying players. Benitez shared with SportsMail.
