Chelsea Football Club has announced the signing of defender Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer. The 26-year-old centre-back will join the team on a four-year deal, starting from July 1st.

Adarabioyo’s contract with Fulham expires on June 30th, and he has chosen to join Chelsea, where he will work under new manager Enzo Maresca.
The two have a prior relationship, as Maresca was the Elite Development Squad coach at Manchester City, where Adarabioyo began his career.
Adarabioyo was heavily linked with other teams, including Newcastle and Manchester United, but Chelsea’s qualification for the Europa Conference League made them an attractive option.

The club values Adarabioyo’s Premier League experience, aerial ability, and strong injury record.
His familiarity with Maresca reportedly adds to the appeal, as the two have a history of working together.
Adarabioyo’s signing aligns with Chelsea’s strategy to comply with Premier League profit and sustainability rules after significant spending in recent years.
Adarabioyo joins a Chelsea squad featuring several former Manchester City academy products, including Cole Palmer and Romeo Lavia.
