Robert Klah, the Head of Public Events and Communications for Charter House, refuted the singer’s assertions and encouraged her to voice her concerns if she feels unfairly treated.
Sista Afia recently expressed her disappointment with the Ghana Music Awards organizers, suggesting that her efforts in the music industry had been overlooked by the scheme.
She pointed out that despite the success of her song “Asuoden” in 2021, she had not received any nominations for the awards in recent years.

In response, Robert Klah extended an invitation for Sista Afia to reach out to him directly if she believes she has been unfairly treated.

He emphasized that the Ghana Music Awards have no issues with her, noting that she had been nominated for both the 21st and 22nd editions of the awards.
“Sista Afia, if you feel you are not too sure about what is going on you can always have a conversation with me. I can’t say you’ve stepped on anybody’s toes,” Klah stated during an interview on Hitz FM.
He further explained the nomination process, highlighting the involvement of a research team tasked with assessing songs and categorizing them appropriately.
“It is not entirely true. What happens is that you file for nominations and our research team will gather information about songs that need to be in the various categories,” Klah clarified.
Sista Afia, whose real name is Fransisca Gawugah, is renowned for her hit songs such as “Asuoden,” “Corner Corner,” and “Jeje,” among others.
Despite her recent grievances with the Ghana Music Awards, she received recognition last year when she won the Best Female Artiste of the Year at the 2023 Ghana Entertainment Awards USA (GEA USA).
