Yvan Attal is a French actor, screenwriter, director, and the longtime partner of Anglo-French actress-singer Charlotte Gainsbourg.

Attal was born in 1965 in Tel Aviv, Israel, to Algerian-Jewish parents.
He is known for directing the film New York, and I Love You. He also appeared in the movies The Interpreter and Rush Hour 3.
Attal and Gainsbourg had met on the set of the film Aux yeux du monde, in 1991, and have remained together as unmarried partners since then. They also have a son named Ben and two daughters – Alice and Jo.

At age 12, Gainsbourg sang the song “Lemon Incest” together with her father, and at age 15, they released an album together.
Gainsbourg went on to appear in several films such as An Impudent Girl, Charlotte for Ever, Kung Fu Master (which she acted together with her mother), Three Hearts, Samba, Independence Day: Resurgence, The Snowman, and the first episode of the fourth season of Call My Agent!
The film An Impudent Girl had won a César Award for “Most Promising Actress”.
As a singer, Gainsbourg has released a number of studio albums such as 5:55, IRM, Stage Whisper and Rest.
Also, some of her hit singles include “Heaven Can Wait”, “Trick Pony”, “Hey Joe”, which have been used in several films and global events.
