In 1947, Charles Saatchi’s father, Nathan Saatchi, a textile merchant with foresight, anticipated the challenges that the Jewish community in Iraq would face. In the wake of tens of thousands of Iraqi Jews fleeing persecution, the Saatchi family made a life-altering decision to relocate to Finchley, north London.

Nathan Saatchi, demonstrating resilience and determination, purchased two textile mills in north London and successfully rebuilt a thriving business. The Saatchi family’s journey to establish a new life in London culminated in their settlement into an impressive eight-bedroom house in Hampstead Lane, Highgate
