Chandler LeCroy Obituary

UGA football recruiter Chandler LeCroy passed away on January 16, 2023, at the age of 24.

LeCroy had sustained a head injury during a car crash that left one the team’s players, Devin Willock dead.

The school had described the duo as “very special” individuals.

“We are all heartbroken and devastated with the loss of Devin Willock and Chandler LeCroy,” UGA Head Football Coach Kirby Smart had said in a statement.

Who Was Chandler LeCroy?

LeCroy was a football scout and recruiter for the University of Georgia Football team.

LeCroy earned her first degree from Mary Frances Early College of Education, where she studied Bachelor of Education in Sport Management.

She later came to the University of Georgia to obtain a Masters degree in Sport Management and Policy, and began her career from there.

What Happened To Chandler LeCroy?

Chandler LeCroy died in a car crash on January 16, 2023, after sustaining head injuries. She was aged 24.

LeCroy happened to be driving the 2021 Ford Expedition, which contained University of Georgia football player Devin Willock and two others.

The incident occurred few hours after their team celebrated its national championship. The vehicle had reportedly hit two power poles and crashed into trees.

Willock and LeCroy however did not survive the accident.

Willock, aged 20, was a football offensive lineman in his sophomore year, who has played in all of the team’s games sonce he joined.
