Chandler James Jones was born on February 27, 1990, in Rochester, New York, the United States to parents, Camille Jones and Arthur Jones. He was raised alongside his three siblings, Jon Jones, Arthur Jones, and Carmen Jones.
Chandler Jones is the youngest of his brothers. His oldest brother, Arthur, is a former defensive end in the NFL, while his brother Jon is an American mixed martial artist and former light heavyweight champion of the world with the UFC.
Chandler Jones attended Union-Endicott High School, where he played high school football. He was a 2007 SuperPrep All-Northeast and PrepStar All-East Region selection. He later attended Syracuse where he played college football the Syracuse Orange football team from 2008 to 2011.
