Aliza Hochman is the wife of Chaim David Bloom, an American sports executive.

The couple at Yale, where his wife Aliza Hochman studied economics and international studies. Isaiah and Judah are their two sons.

The family lived in St. Petersburg, Florida, near Tropicana Field, allowing him to readily return on Friday nights to observe the Sabbath with his family.

Chaim David Bloom most recently worked as Chief Baseball Officer for the Major League Baseball (MLB) Boston Red Sox before being fired on September 14, 2023.

He previously served as Senior Vice President of Baseball Operations for the Tampa Bay Rays. Bloom graduated from Yale College in 2004 with a bachelor’s degree in Latin Classics, where he was a member of The Society of Orpheus and Bacchus.

Chaim Bloom’s first foray into baseball was a 1997 essay in Baseball Prospectus, which he continued to write for until he joined the Rays. Prior to joining the Rays, he interned for the San Diego Padres as a baseball operations intern and for Major League Baseball as a legal/corporate partnerships intern.
