Nickelback lead vocalist Chad Kroeger is currently 48 years old. He was born in November 1974.

Kroeger began singing in the 1990s with the cover band, Village Idiot. At a young age, he learnt how to play the guitar.

Together with his cousin, Kroeger founded the band The Suits XL in 2001, and later co-founded the Vancouver-based 604 Records. His band, Suits XL had earned a nomination for a Canadian Indie Award in 2007.

In terms of singing and songwriting, Kroeger has done a number of collaborations with many artistes such as “Saliva vocalist Josey Scott, Theory of a Deadman lead vocalist, Tyler Connolly and Our Lady Peace drummer Jeremy Taggart.” They had all performed the Spider-Man theme song “Hero” in 2002.
Kroeger has also collaborated with Timberland, Ludacris, Zakk Wylde, French-Canadian pop rock singer Avril Lavigne, and many more.
Chad Kroeger co-wrote the song “No Surprise” with Daughtry which was debuted on American Idol in 2009. He also co-wrote Tim McGraw’s single “It’s a Business Doing Pleasure with You”, together with Brett James.
