José Luis López Barba and Eulalia Rodríguez were the parents of Mexican comedian, Chabelo. There is very little to no information about them. Information about their causes of death, professions, and more, is not known.

Chabelo was reported dead by his family. The announcement was made on Saturday, March 25, 2023, and it was revealed that he died in the early hours of that day.

“This is a very sad morning, Xavier Lopez Chabelo, father, brother, and husband, has left us suddenly due to abdominal complications. With a broken soul and knowing that many people have loved him for many years and that they will feel his loss, we ask you to pray for his rest and allow us to mourn peacefully the grief that overwhelms our entire family,” the family said in the statement.
He was 88 years old at the time of death.
Mexican President, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, also wrote a tribute following the dead of Chabelo.
“Hugs to family and friends for the death of Xavier Lopez ‘Chabelo.’ How can I forget that my eldest son woke up so early to see him more than 40 years ago,” he wrote in a social media post.
