Jeff Gutheim is an American screenwriter, born on September 16, 1971.

Gutheim began his journey as a screenwriter when he and his friend, Michael Steinbeck, decided to write a movie script for fun.

It turned out to be a dark comedy titled Don’t Call Unless The Maid Dies, which got the attention of his literary agent, Gayla Nethercott.

The duo were immediately signed into Gayla’s agency, now ICM, and were hired to write Crash Test Dummy for New Line Cinema.

Soon after Gutheim and his friend sold Day Traitor (2000) to Warner Bros and Crackerjack (2001) to Intermedia Films.

Later in, Gutheim went on to work with New Line Cinema to script the final draft of teen comedy, ‘Full of It’ (2007).

In September 2006, Gutheim crossed over to Paramount Pictures and wrote the screenplay, Stitch ‘n Bitch.

From Paramount Pictures, Gutheim moved to WWE Studios and wrote Knucklehead, a film starring Big Show, Mark Feuerstein, Melora Hardin, Dennis Farina, and Will Patton.

Gutheim is formally engaged to Catherine Tate, following the crash of his first marriage that produced three children.
