American singer Cassie Ventura, known professionally as Cassie, has responded to the viral CCTV footage released by CNN that showed her ex-boyfriend and producer, Diddy, assaulting her in 2016.

Cassie had previously alleged the assault in a legal action last year.
In her statement, Cassie expressed gratitude for the overwhelming love and support she has received from friends, family, and even strangers after CNN released the exclusive evidence of Diddy physically abusing her in a hotel.
She acknowledged that the outpouring of love has provided a safe space for her younger self and emphasized that this is only the beginning. Cassie emphasized the importance of taking domestic violence seriously and urged people to believe victims the first time they come forward.
Cassie encouraged victims of domestic violence to overcome their fear and reach out to their loved ones for support.

In response to the video, Diddy apologized, stating that he was disgusted with his actions both then and now. He acknowledged seeking professional help, going to therapy and rehab, and asking God for mercy and grace.
Diddy expressed deep remorse for his actions.
Additionally, Diddy is facing a new lawsuit from former model Crystal McKinney, who has accused him of drugging and sexually assaulting her in 2003.
McKinney claims that Diddy invited her to his New York studio, where he plied her with alcohol and marijuana until she became intoxicated. Representatives of Diddy have not yet commented on this new lawsuit.
