Carolyn Bryant Death: How did Carolyn Bryant die?

Carolyn Bryant’s real cause of death is not known but it was reported dead that she died in hospice care on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, at the age of 88.

She was known for being the woman who wrongfully accused 14-year-old black boy, Emmett Till of grabbing her and making sexual advances towards her.

Malik Shabazz who is with the Black Lawyers for Justice shared after Carolyn’s death that, it is very painful that she never faced real justice for her crime.

“Carolyn Bryant’s death brings a conclusion to a painful chapter for the Emmett Till family and for Black people in America. The tragic part about Bryant’s death was that she was never held accountable for her role in the death of young Emmett Till, who is the martyr for the Civil Rights Movement,” he said.

After she accused Till falsely, she led her husband, Roy Bryant, and his brother JW Milam to the house of Till’s family where he was kidnapped at gunpoint.

He was then dragged to a river bank in Mississippi and shot in the head. His corpse was completely disfigured when they pulled it out of the river after it was tied in barbed wires to a heavy metal fan before being dumped into the river.

Roy and Milan admitted to the killing of Till in an interview in the ’50s. Milam died in 1980 and Roy died of cancer in 1994.
