About Carlos Salcedo

Carlos Salcedo began his football career at Guadalajara youth club in 2006.

The Mexican-born footballer now plays as a centre-back for Liga MX club Cruz Azul.

He spent some time with the Tigres UANL, before he made his professional debut with Real Salt Lake, in 2013.

In 2022, Salcedo began playing for Toronto FC, and later moved to Juárez. In 2023, Salcedo began playing with Cruz Azul after signing a three-year contract.

Salcedo has additionally played for Fiorentina, Eintracht Frankfurt, Tigres UANL, and Mexico.

On the international stage, Salcedo made his debut for Mexico in 2015, and has since represented the country in various tournaments including, “Copa América, Copa América Centenario, CONCACAF Gold Cup, Summer Olympics, FIFA Confederations Cup, and the FIFA World Cup.”

Salcedo has so far made 47 appearances for Mexico and has scored one goal.
