Boogie Basham plays American football as a defensive end for the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League. Prior to being taken by the Buffalo Bills in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft, he played collegiate football for Wake Forest. Northside School in Roanoke, Virginia, was where Basham attended. He decided to attend Wake Forest University and play collegiate football there.

The Buffalo Bills selected Basham in the second round of the 2021 NFL Draft (61st overall). Basham officially joined the Bills on May 12, 2021.
Basham made his first career interception on September 8, 2022, during the kickoff game against the Los Angeles Rams, a 21-yard Matthew Stafford pick. The Bills were able to win the game 31-10 thanks in part to this interception.
