Carlin Glynn Obituary

American actress, Carlin Glynn has died at the age of 85. She died on July 13, 2023, following dementia and cancer diagnoses in recent years. Her death was announced by her daughter, Mary Stuart Masterson.

“On Thursday, 13th July, my mother, Carlin Glynn Masterson, passed away. I was with her. I will always be grateful for those last moments, no matter how hard. Death is like birth in the oddest way. From my first breath to her last. This thread is as fragile as it is strong. “She was the most grateful clumsy person you would ever meet. Strong, smart, silly, intuitive, kind, generous, passionate, and a deep listener. She was devoted to my father and to the enormous circle of students and collaborators who were considered her chosen family,” she wrote on Instagram.

“My mother-in-law, Carlin Glynn Masterson, passed away last week. She truly was such a graceful, elegant, and loving person. Carlin had a capacity for joy and wonder that Alzheimer’s could never take away from her. She was endlessly kind to me and I will miss her,” Jeremy Davidson also wrote.

“We are sad to hear about the passing of Tony Winner Carlin Glynn. Carlin won Best Featured Actress In a Musical in 1979 for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas. She will be missed,” Tony Awards official page wrote.

“Carlin Glynn was a terrific person, a wonderful mother, and wife, and a solid actor. I had the good fortune of working with her back in 1998. She’s missed. My heart goes out to Pete and Mary Stuart,” Film director and Academy Award nominee, Marsha Mason wrote.
