Jaden Ivey plays basketball for the Detroit Pistons of the National Basketball Association (NBA).

Ivey was born on February 13, 2002, in South Bend, Indiana, United States.

He had his collegiate career with the Purdue Boilermakers. He also played for Marian High School in Mishawaka.

In his freshman year, Ivey averaged 11.1 points and 3.3 rebounds per game. He also earned Big Ten All-Freshman Team honors.

As a sophomore, he averaged 17.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game.

He represented the United States at the 2021 FIBA Under-19 World Cup in Latvia. In the same year, he scored 21 points, shooting 7-of-11 from the field, in a 83–54 group stage win over Turkey.

Ivey averaged 12.3 points per game, and won a gold medal.

The Detroit Pistons drafted him as the fifth overall pick in the 2022 NBA draft, forgoing his college eligibility.
