Yes, you can add data to your AT&T plan. If you find that you’re using more data than your current plan allows, there are a few options available to you.

If you’re on a Mobile Share plan, you can change to a higher level plan for a month. For example, if you have the 2GB plan, you can switch to the 5GB plan for a month, then go back to 2GB. Just make sure your old data amount is still available because if not, you won’t be able to get it back.

It’s important to note that when you make the change, you should backdate the data plan to the beginning of your cycle. The default is the day you make the change; you have to take one more step to backdate it. If you don’t backdate, the new data is prorated. If you do it with 15 days, for example, then 50% of 5GB (or whatever you choose) may not be enough to finish the cycle.

In addition to changing your plan, AT&T also offers data-only plans and international data packages for your iPad, tablet, laptop, computer, and other mobile devices. To activate a data-only plan, your device must have an AT&T SIM card, Apple SIM card, or an eSIM. If you need a new SIM, you can order an AT&T SIM card online.

Remember, if you got confirmation that your data plan was activated, but you can’t connect to cellular data make sure: Cellular data is turned on for the device. Data roaming is turned on if you’re traveling outside the country.

In conclusion, AT&T offers several options for adding data to your plan, whether you need more data for a single month, a data-only plan for a specific device, or an international data package. It’s always a good idea to monitor your data usage and adjust your plan as needed to avoid any potential overage charges. If you have any questions or need assistance, AT&T’s customer service is available to help.
