For Chelsea, the troubles keep on growing further and further. In recent days, the London-based football club has seen their own Roman Abramovich come under immense pressure owing to his alleged close ties to Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Given the significant impact that today’s sanctions would have on Chelsea football club and the potential knock-on effects of this, the Government has this morning published a license that authorizes a number of football-related activities to continue at Chelsea.

Can Chelsea Sell Match Tickets?

One of the results of that is Chelsea will not be allowed to sell home and away match tickets. Only season ticket holders will be allowed to attend the Blues’ remaining games for the campaign, which will affect the crowd numbers.

Can Chelsea Make Transfers?

Among the many sanctions dished out to Chelsea, merchandise sales & transfers are also on hold.  The UK government is coming down hard on those that boast ties to Vladimir Putin’s regime in the wake of Russia’s invasion of neighboring Ukraine.
