Born in 1990, to his parents Gillian and Drew Tarren, Callum began playing at Dinsdale Golf Course.

Callum has a brother named Brad, who is a health education tutor and sports coach.

Callum had his high school education at Darlington’s Eastbourne Comprehensive.

He later took up golf as a full time career and got into the PGA China tour afterwards.

Callum played briefly in China, before moving to the US to compete in the Korn Ferry Tour.

He finished 4th place on the PGA tour came at the Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship.

In 2010 and 2011, Callum did not take part in any tournament.

Between 2011 and 2012, Callum took part in 8 tournaments and became the first Highlander since 2006 to be honored.

Other events Callum took part in includes the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational, the C&F Bank Intercollegiate and the Big South Championship.
