Refilwe Modiselle has expressed much displeasure about how albinos are being called out in South Africa.

She spoke out after a fan questioned if there are albinoes in South Africa. Considering how the question was asked, shed felt offended, being an albino model. The question asked was about if there are albino models in South Africa.

According to the south African model, calling her kind albino is derogatory, Hence, they should be called with much respect. She indicated that they are to be called persons with albinism . However, she considered calling them albino’s as derogatory.

In her reply to the question of the fan, she wrote:

“Please don’t refer to us as “albino”, it’s very derogatory. Come correct please, it’s the person(s) with albinism. A correct referral is models with albinism. Thanks for coming to my #TEDtalk”

King a model and a social media influencer, has decided to put a stop to the derogatory acts against the albinos in south Africa.
