Caleb Ewan ethnicity: What ethnicity is Caleb Ewan? – Caleb Ewan is an Australian road and track bicycle racer who rides for UCI ProTeam Lotto–Dstny. He was born on 11 July, 1994 in New South Wales to Kassandra Ewan, a Korean mother, and Mark Ewan, an Australian father.

Inspired by his father who was a competitive cyclist, Ewan started bicycle racing at the age of eight and started cycling competitively at age 10.

In 2010, Caleb proved that he means business in cycling when he emerged winner at the Junior National Road Race.

In 2011, he cemented his position as a ‘hot cake’ after he won multiple disciplines at the Junior National Track Championships and became World Champion omnium at the Junior Track World Championships.

Ewan started racing for Jayco-AIS World Tour Academy in 2013 — and in that year, he won the first stage as well as the general classification of the Mitchelton Wines Bay Cycling Classic.

He also won the La Côte Picarde instalment of the UCI Nations Cup U23, the Gran Premio Palio del Recioto, and stages in the Tour Alsace, Thüringen Rundfahrt der U23 and the Tour de l’Avenir.

In October 2013, Ewan signed pre-contract terms with Orica–GreenEDGE, joining the World Tour team as a stagiaire in August 2014 and as a professional in October.

His first professional victories came in the second and third stages of the 2015 Herald Sun Tour.

He was the “lanterne rouge” of the 2022 Tour de France, having finished over 5 hours down on overall winner Jonas Vingegaard.

Ewan is currently participating in the Tour de France and has his eyes set on the €500,000 ($542,140/£428,354) prize money. He has a similar style to that of Mark Cavendish, taking an extremely low position that offers him an aerodynamic advantage has his sights.
