Wilson was hospitalized at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Camperdown, Sydney, before she died just six days after her 53rd birthday.

Cal Wilson was a New Zealand stand-up comedian, author, radio and television presenter, who made her mark in the entertainment world, with a talent that transcended borders.

Wilson’s career was marked by many accolades and accomplishments.

In 2001, she won the prestigious “Best Newcomer” award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, a testament to her comedic prowess.
