In 2001, Wilson earned the coveted “Best Newcomer” award at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, a testament to her comedic brilliance. Her charm and humor also enthralled audiences at the 2004 Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Wilson co-founded the Court Jesters in 1990, playing a pivotal role in the New Zealand team that won the World Theatresports award in Los Angeles in 1994.
