Cadence Baker is a 19-year-old crooner from Florence, Alabama who wowed the judges during the Sunday, March 13, episode of American Idol with her dad Shane Baker.

She completed her schooling from Florence High School and goes by the stage name of Cadence Nichole.

She reportedly started picking up notes on the piano at the age of four. The talented singer has also released two original singles named ‘PeterPan’ and ‘The Play’.

Cadence’s grandfather, Gary Baker, is a co-writer of the hit single ‘I Swear; that was released in 1993. The iconic song went on to sell more than 20 million copies internationally and even bagged the 1995 Grammy for Best Country Song.

He owns a recording studio in Florence and was honored with the Alabama Music Hall of Fame in 2020.

Cadence Baker’s father, is also a musician and he earlier fronted a Christian rock band called Cadence. He has earlier been a signed artist for other Christian publishing companies in both Nashville and Alabama.
