C. J. Cron is an American professional baseball player. He is the son of Chris Cron and Linda Cron

Chris Cron his father, is a former professional baseball player, manager, and current coach. He is the assistant hitting coach for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB) as of 2021. He has managed in Minor League Baseball (MLB) and has played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the California Angels and Chicago White Sox.

Kevin Scott Cron, his brother, is also a former professional baseball first baseman. He played for the Arizona Diamondbacks in Major League Baseball (MLB), the Hiroshima Toyo Carp in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), and the SSG Landers in the KBO League.

The Angels selected C. J. Cron in the first round, with the 17th overall selection, of the 2011 Major League Baseball draft. He made his professional debut that season with the Rookie-level Orem Owlz of the Pioneer League that year.

He has also played in MLB for the Tampa Bay Rays, Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers and Colorado Rockies. He bats and throws right-handed.
