Gerald Tommaso DeLouise, better known as the American actor, painter, and author Burt Young, has gone away. According to legend, Young’s acting career began accidentally when a woman he was crushing on informed him she wanted to take acting lessons from renowned acting instructor Lee Strasberg.

On April 30, 1940, Burt Young was born in Queens, New York. After playing Paulie in six of Sylvester Stallone’s “Rocky” movies, the former boxer rose to fame.
Young has more than 160 film and television credits under his belt in addition to being a skilled theatrical performer. In movies like Convoy, Back to School, The Pope of Greenwich Village, and Downtown: A Street Tale, he played the lead role.
