Derrel McKinley “Bud” Harrelson was an American professional baseball shortstop, coach, and manager. He played for the New York Mets, Philadelphia Phillies, and Texas Rangers from 1965 to 1980.

Harrelson married Kim Battaglia in 1975. Bud’s children are Kimberly, Jessica, Timothy, Alexandra, Kassandra, and Troy Joseph. Harrelson was inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame on Long Island in the Baseball Category with the Class of 1992.

He appeared as himself in a 1999 episode of Everybody Loves Raymond along with several other members of the 1969 Mets. Harrelson resided in Hauppauge, New York. Harrelson was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease in 2016.
Sadly, Bud took his last breath on January 10, surrounded by his ex-wife, Kim. Not just that, he was survived by his three daughters, Kimberly Psarras, Alexandra Abbatiello, and Kassandra Harrelson; two sons, Timothy and Troy Harrelson; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren, as per the reports.
