Bruce Sutter Wife: Who is Jayme Leigh?

Jayme Leigh was the wife of Bruce Sutter an American professional baseball pitcher. The couple were married for over 50 years and had three adult children Josh Sutter and Chad Sutter together.

The couple lived in Atlanta. Bruce Sutter was a six-time All-Star and 1982 World Series champion. He retired with a 2.83 career earned run average and 300 saves, the third-most in MLB history.

Sutter was named the National League’s (NL) Cy Young Award winner in 1979, and he also won the NL Rolaids Relief Man Award four times.

Sutter was born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Howard and Thelma Sutter. In Mount Joy, Pennsylvania, his father ran a Farm Bureau warehouse. Bruce was the fifth of six children.

Bruce Stutter passed away on October 13, 2022.  He was 69. Sutter was recently diagnosed with cancer and died Thursday night in hospice, surrounded by his family, according to Chad, one of Sutter’s three sons.
