Bruce Greenwood’s mother, Mary Sylvia, was more than just a loving parent. She dedicated her life to the noble profession of nursing, working tirelessly in an extended care unit.

Her role extended beyond their family; she was a caring presence in the lives of those she helped throughout her nursing career.  Hugh John Greenwood, Bruce’s father, brought a different dimension to the family.

A Vancouver-born geophysicist and a professor at the prestigious Princeton University, he was an educator, researcher, and a father who undoubtedly instilled the values of education and intellectual curiosity in his children.

While Bruce Greenwood’s career would eventually lead him to the heights of the entertainment industry, it was the support and upbringing he received from his parents that laid the foundation for his success.
