Brock Nelson currently plays as a centre for the New York Islanders in the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 30th overall in the first round of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft by the Islanders.
Since joining the Islanders, Nelson has become a crucial member of their team. In the 2018-2019 season, he had a career-high 53 points (25 goals, 28 assists) in 82 games. He has also been a reliable performer in the playoffs, scoring 11 goals and 16 assists in 50 games.
In addition to his NHL career, Nelson has also represented the United States on the international stage. He played for the United States at the 2011 IIHF World Junior Championships, where he helped lead the team to a bronze medal.
