Cowell, 62, has judged on the British television talent competition series Pop Idol, The X Factor UK and Britain’s Got Talent.
“Simon was unable to attend filming today as he was isolating at home after testing positive for Covid-19”, a spokesperson revealed.
Cowell was absent from the judging panel on Thursday and his Covid 19 report comes after he almost died during a terrifying bike crash.

Sources said he was propelled over the handlebars and onto the road at 20mph — while not wearing a helmet.

Cowell’s e-bike crash occurred near his home in West London.
