Brison Manor Obituary

Brison A. Manor, Jr. was a defensive end in the National Football League (NFL) for the Denver Broncos from 1977 to 1984. Brison Manor died at the age of 70 on June 20, 2023, from cancer.

Manor played high school football at Bridgeton High School. Manor had 173 total tackles in his junior and senior seasons before being drafted by the New York Jets in the 15th round of the NFL draft.

He was released by the Giants before joining the Broncos the following season.  Manor assisted Denver in reaching their first Super Bowl appearance in 1977, where they were defeated by the Dallas Cowboys.

He played in 13 games that season, recording four sacks and recovering a fumble in the AFC Championship win over the Raiders.

Throughout the entirety of his career Manor appeared in 113 games, starting 36, and totaled 23 sacks. 22 of those 23 career sacks came during his time in Denver.

Following his stellar career, Manor was inducted into the University of Arkansas Hall of Honour in 2011 and the Arkansas Sports Hall of Fame in 2018.
