Born to proud parents Steve and Beth Brennan, Brent’s journey in the world of football is interwoven with his family’s passion for the sport.

Steve Brennan, Brent’s father, contributed to the football legacy by playing for San Jose State in 1967. Meanwhile, Beth Brennan, his mother, added her vibrant spirit to the university as a cheerleader.

This familial connection to San Jose State underscores the Brennan family’s close ties to the world of college football.

Brent Brennan’s football lineage extends even further, as he shares a first cousin relationship with Colt Brennan, the former standout quarterback for the University of Hawaii.

This connection binds the family’s love for the game across generations, creating a shared appreciation for the gridiron. Raised in Redwood City, California, Brent attended Saint Francis High School in Mountain View, where he graduated in 1991.

Following his high school years, Brennan continued his education at UCLA, where he excelled on the football field, lettering as a wide receiver in 1993 and 1994. His journey at UCLA culminated in his graduation in 1996.

Brennan’s coaching career commenced at Woodside High School in Woodside, California, where he served as an assistant coach in 1996.
