Growing up, Brenda Warner didn’t have it all smooth as her parents struggled financially so as not to be a burden to them with tuition fees, she enlisted in the US Marines.

Brenda Warner met her first husband, Neil, while in the marine service. Together, Brenda Warner and Neil had a son, Zachary (b. 1989).
After a domestic accident that involved a fall, four-month-old Zachary grew up with a damaged left brain and blind. Their daughter, Jesse, was born in 1992.
Nevertheless, Brenda Warner’s first marriage with Neil didn’t last for too long.
Neil’s infidelity led to a divorce followed by a dark period of poverty and it was around this time she met and began a new relationship with the promising football player, Kurt Warner.
