Breel Donald Embolo is a Cameroonian born professional footballer who plays as a forward for Ligue 1 club Monaco and the Switzerland national team.

Embolo was born in Yaounde, Cameroon on 14th Feb. 1997, to parents Moise Kegni (mother) and Germaine Embolo (father).
Sadly, Embolo’s parents separated when he about five or six years old.
After his parents separated, his mother moved to France to attend school.
It whas whilst there that she met her future husband, a Swiss national.

After working his way through their junior teams, Embolo made his professional debut for Basel in March 2014, and won the Swiss Super League in all three of his first seasons before moving to Schalke 04 for an initial €20 million.
Embolo received Swiss citizenship on 12 December 2014, earning his senior international debut in March 2015.
Since making his debut, Embolo has represented Switzerland at UEFA Euro 2016, the 2018 FIFA World Cup, UEFA Euro 2020 and the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
