Brandon Chase Marsh is an American Major League Baseball outfielder for the Philadelphia Phillies (MLB). Brandon Marsh was born on December 18, 1997, in Buford, Georgia, to Jake and Sonja Marsh.

In 2017, his father Jake Marsh was diagnosed with tongue and throat cancer. After he beat it, cancer returned, this time in his kidneys, about a year later. It crept up his body and reached his head.
Jake Marsh was unable to walk and could barely speak at the end, but he watched every pitch of his son’s career as he ascended through the minor leagues.
Jake flew from Atlanta to Phoenix in March 2021 to witness Brandon’s final game in person. It was a difficult ordeal. He was in a wheelchair. Jake Marsh, died in April from cancer in 2021.

Marsh was named to the Angels’ Opening Day roster in 2022, along with Mike Trout and Jo Adell. Marsh started the season on a hot streak, batting.340 with a.943 on-base plus slugging (OPS) by April 28.
By the end of May, he was batting.366, with a.932 OPS with runners in scoring position. Marsh appeared in 93 games for Los Angeles in 2022, batting.226 with eight home runs and 37 RBI.
