Abraham Peper, better known as Bram Peper, was a Dutch politician of the Labour Party. Born on February 13, 1940, Peper grew up in a working-class environment in Haarlem.

Peper studied social sciences at the University of Amsterdam; Economy and sociology at the University of Oslo and earned a Ph.D. at the Nederlandse Economische Hogeschool (Currently Erasmus University Rotterdam).

After his studies, Peper developed political ambitions and in the early 1970s, he joined the national board of the Labor Party as a policy advisor.

Between 1982 and 1998, Peper served as the mayor of Rotterdam. In his later years, he worked as a professor at Erasmus University. Peper died on 20 August 2022, at the age of 82.

Bram Peper was born in Haarlem, Netherlands, on February 13, 1940, and died on August 20, 2022, at the age of 82 years. Bram Peper’s death was a result of a short illness he battled some few weeks to his death.

From 2002 to 2004, Peper was a professor at the Nyenrode Business University, a private university, from which he resigned due to a disagreement regarding a study trip to the European Union in Brussels.
