Bobby Collins, known officially as Thurmon Lavelle Collins Jr, was a former American football coach. Bobby Collins served as the head coach for the University of Southern Mississippi and the South Methodist University.

Bobby Collins is a two-time Southwest NCAA Division I College Athletic Conference champion between the years 1982 and 1984. Prior to becoming a coach, Bobby Collins played as a quarterback for the Mississippi State Bulldogs of the Mississippi State University from 1951 and 1954.

Bobby Collins was born on October 25, 1993, and died on November 16, 2021, at the age of 88 years. Bobby Collins’ cause of death has been attributed to old age although there is no official information regarding the cause of his death.

Some of the teams coached by Bobby Collins include Virginia Tech, George Washington University, University of North Carolina, Colorado State University, Mississippi State University, among others.
