His father, Lee, is a football manager who worked Birmingham City academy. Lee had served as a personal trainer to his son.

The English-born footballer started his career in 2012 with the academy at Birmingham City.
In 2014, he moved to the academy at Newcastle United, where he spent seven seasons.
Clark joined Liverpool in 2021, for a fee of £1.5 million, and a signed five-year contract.
He went ahead to make his professional debut appearing as a substitute for the club in a match against AFC Bournemouth. He also played with the team during the EFL Cup at Anfield.
During the 2021-22 season, Clark recorded 13 goals in 23 matches, and is currently ranked as one of the most promising English footballers.
