His parents, Missouri natives John Otho Leland Eubanks and Gertrude Eubanks were both born in Missouri. During the Great Depression, they relocated to Flint, where their only child was born, before moving to California.

Bob Eubanks became a child model, taking part in ad photo shoots and meeting his idol, Gene Autry, during one of them. Bob Eubanks is best known for his role as the host of the popular game show “The Newlywed Game,” which aired from 1966 to 1974 and was later revived in various formats. The show featured recently married couples answering questions about their spouses to win prizes.
